Ballarat’s population and housing growth projections

Ballarat’s population is projected to grow significantly in the next 10 – 20 years, from approximately 90,000 people now (2009) to 112,000 people by 2031.

In 2008 there were approximately 38,000 households in the Shire.  It is projected than an additional 12,000 houses will be built by 2030. Read more about the projections.
