Ballarat Community Gardens

The Ballarat Community Gardens runs a monthly produce swap on the first Saturday of the month, and many food growing, cooking, preserving workshops and demonstrations, (see the web site, above for details of the next events).

At the Ballarat Show, in November each year, the Ballarat Community Garden and the BREAZE Local Food Group are side by side, informing and encouraging the Ballarat community to grow their own food.

Ballarat Permaculture Guild

Permies at the Market by Jackie OMearahttp://ballaratpermacultureguild.org/

Ballarat Permaculture Guild provides a focus for people in and around Ballarat who are interested in living more sustainably through implementing permaculture design principles and practices in their daily lives.

We are a practical group working together to increase our skills and experience. One of our priorities is to create opportunities for other members of the community to learn about permaculture or the practical skills that go with it! If Permaculture is new to you, our Permaculture page outlines some of the strategies Permaculture offers towards building a more sustainable and locally resilient future.

You don't need to know anything about permaculture to join us! We'd love to meet you, come along to one of our regular get-togethers - check their facebook events: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ballaratpermieguild/events/
