BREAZE Student Leadership Workshop

"Community Action on Climate”

BREAZE was invited to provide an interactive workshop at Federation University’s Student Leadership Conference on 10 October 2014. We were one of six interactive leadership sessions, each around different ‘regionally focussed topics. Our student participants came from Ballarat and the Churchill Campus in Gippsland, which provided an interesting mix of people and interests.
Lisa Kendal and Andrew Bray facilitated a highly effective workshop process with help from Catherine Harris - a SLB volunteer.
There were also four short 'perspective' sessions by other Breaze members:
Earth needs your urgent help: are you up for it? [Lawrie Wilson]
An ordinary person steps up: waiting isn't working [Jane Lean - Board member]
Understanding denial: a human defence mechanism [John Petheram]
Rooftop solar: past success, present challenges, future hope [Simon Reid]
What a pleasure it was to be part of a BREAZE team contributing to a highly vibrant conference at the Mt Helen Campus involving over 150 students from various FedUni campuses. Jane Lean & John Petheram
