A hectic couple of months in Rode RAGE

teamDear Friends of Rode RAGE,

Much water has flowed under the bridge since our last update so I will be brief with each, but collectively..... a whole bunch of great kids from all over the place came together in a variety of locations to work and learn together and try to make the world a better place ... some photos attached.

triximatriiAMY GilletMarch... Wonthaggi HPV Grand Prix 24 hour race ... in very trying conditions (wind and rain) we battled on well with 3 teams ..... and participated in the Bicycles for Humanity "Ride to Namibia"

April ...
Round 1 of the Australian International Pedal Prix Superseries in Mt Gambier. 5 teams. Both our school aged boys and our school aged girls won their categories. Amazingly our group our first timer Year 7's managed to come 3rd in a catergory against senior high school kids.... and our open team came 4th overall.

Joined with the City of Ballarat to organise a HPV/Cycling Expo day bringing together hundreds of people of all ages to cycle around the brand new Link Rd in Ballarat and to support the great work of Bicycle's for Humanity and the local YMCA's Re-Cranked program ... both of which help provide local and international kids who really need a bike , with a bike.

Round 2 of the AIPP Superseries in Loxton. Our girls continued to dominate their category and in a major piece of excitement also managed to finish on the same amount of laps as the winner of the Open Women's Category and beat all but one of the school aged boys teams. Our open teams came 5th and 12th overall out of over 100 entries.

Tomorrow .... we have our Trivia Night at the Victoria Bowls Club in Ballarat to raise funds for our EuroRodeRAGE group who will be off in July to tour the battlefields and memorials of Europe and to volunteer within MRS and Care4Calais programs to help out the refugees trapped living in the woods around France and Belgium. If you are at a loose end and would like a close up look at our vehicles, our kids and a whole lot of fun and games.... we'd love to see you there around 6:30pm.

Sunday ... Euro Rode RAGE meeting and history classes.

Coming up ... Round 3 of the AIPP Superseries in Adelaide and then our EuroRR group is off to Europe before we settle in for the second half of a very big year.

Thanks again for all your support that keeps us going.

Thanks and best wishes,

Tony Davidson
