Batteries continues to be a popular topic, with 175 people in the audience, which is a record for the venue, and some really interesting comments being made by people as they went out the door at the end.

Simon Reid was convincing about Batteries:

"the next key element in transforming our Mains Grid into a more sustainable Lighter and Smarter Version. The benefits both Collectively and Individually are clear ... the problem is getting things moving - whereas in the early days of Grid-Connect Solar Panels, there were Government Incentives for Early Movers, for Batteries (currently) there are not ... Sustainable sourcing of battery materials is an issue that we need to watch and hope is done is well. "

and gave an excellent overview of the pros and cons in his frank and honest approach to the presentation.

Thanks to all the volunteers who worked together to make it a success!
